Activities include visiting archives and historical sites. These grants are available to current postgraduate members of the Royal Historical Society. <strong>Next closing date: Friday 5 June 2026.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/royalhistsoc.org\/research_funding\/early-career-research-funding\/early-career-research-support-grants\/\"><strong>Early Career Research Support\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Grants*<\/strong><\/a>provide funding of either\u00a0<strong>\u00a3500 or \u00a31000<\/strong>\u00a0to early career historians, within 5 years of completion of a PhD, to undertake historical research. Activities include visiting archives and historical sites. These grants are available to\u00a0current members of the Royal Historical Society.\u00a0<strong>Next closing date: Friday 5 June 2026.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>* Applicants for these Royal Historical Society grants must be <a href=\"https:\/\/royalhistsoc.org\/membership\/\">current members of the Society<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/royalhistsoc.org\/research_funding\/rhs-scouloudi-public-history-grants\/\"><strong>RHS \/ Scouloudi Public History Grants*<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0provide <strong>\u00a31000 per award<\/strong> support for collaborative projects between academic historians and those working in related sectors such as archives, museums and heritage: opened 23 March with the <strong>closing date of Friday 5 June 2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/royalhistsoc.org\/research_funding\/scouloudi-panel-grants\/\"><strong>RHS \/ Scouloudi Panel Grants*<\/strong><\/a> provide funds of <strong>\u00a31500 per award<\/strong> for the creation of conference panels on a common theme for speakers with no other means of financial support: opened 23 March with the <strong>closing date of Friday 5 June 2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>* Lead applicants for these collaborative grants must be <a href=\"https:\/\/royalhistsoc.org\/membership\/\">current members of the Society<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Deadline Friday 10 July<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/royalhistsoc.org\/research_funding\/jinty-nelson-teaching-fellowships-2\/\"><b>Jinty Nelson Teaching Fellowships, 2026-27*<\/b><\/a>\u00a0provide funding of either\u00a0<strong>\u00a3500, \u00a31000 or \u00a31250<\/strong>\u00a0to members of the Society at all career stages to develop innovative teaching practices in higher education. Fellowships are available to\u00a0current members of the Royal Historical Society.\u00a0<strong>Next closing date: Friday 10 July 2026.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/royalhistsoc.org\/publications\/funded-book-workshops\/\"><strong>Funded Book Workshop Grants, 2026-27*<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>support authors writing a second or third monograph.
